Joe Elmore and PowerBlock T.V. try out our track
Recently, we had the thrill of welcoming Joe Elmore and the gang from PowerBlock TV out to the TVPPA showgrounds. The television crew was there to tape a segment highlighting performance gear from BULLYDOG Technologies. The team from BULLYDOG traveled from Idaho with their modified Dodge Charger to pull on our track. They also showcased their product by hooking a Ford F-150 to the sled.
Joe took a moment to showcase our club by including Andrew Kieffer's restored Allis- Chalmers. The tractor and Andrew will make it into the segment when it airs on the 2011 season of PowerBlock TV.

The Tennessee Valley Pioneer Power Association will host the 2011 Heritage Restoration Award
The TVPPA will play host to the 2011 Heritage Award. This will be the second year the club has hosted the award which is centered around high school students restoring antique tractors.
Last year the Heritage Award raised nearly $3,000.00 thanks to the sponsorship of some local companies. All of the money raised was passed along to the winners. The TVPPA helps out by funding the award's website and giving the contestants a place to show during the annual tractor pull in September.
Hopefully, the award will continue to grow and offer opportunities for youth to explore a possibility in the field of mechanics or agriculture. It is open to any high school FFA chapter as well as any shop class or organization.

Home Improvment
After a lengthy debate, the club decided to move ahead on expanding and improving the kitchen area.
The renovation included adding some square footage as well as concreting the floor. All of the construction was helped by the contributions of both club members and donations. The Keiffer family was very generous to aid in the expansion of the building. Nashville Ready Mix did an outstanding job as well of pouring the floor.
We would like to thank everyone for their help in this process from the floor up. The new area was a welcome comfort when the rain hit during our last show.
